How to completely uninstall Verizon App Manager? It installs garbage. I don't like it.
I know how to disable it, but I want it gone and I don't want it to come back with a software update.
Thanks!

We want to make sure that you can manage your device. Some apps on your phone are not able to be fully uninstalled and can only be disabled. If you're only getting the disable option, that means the app can't be uninstalled. We hope this helps explain.

Yes, that's right, and I'm not talking about the apps that can only be disabled.
For one example of the garbage I want to keep off my phone, Candy Crush was installed by an app called Verizon App Manager. I understand that Verizon App Manager can only be disabled, not uninstalled. I have read that it sometimes is reenabled during OS updates. I want
- A way to keep Verizon App Manager from being reenabled, even when the phone's software updates.
- A guarantee from Verizon that no other apps besides those strictly required to provide Verizon mobile cellular service will be installed on my device
For the record, I will never be convinced that Candy Crush is required on my phone for Verizon to provide me with quality cellular service. I can understand apps like My Verizon, but certainly not games, and certainly not anything related to Meta or Facebook. I don't welcome that spyware.
Now that I've provided some clarification, please, can you help?
Thanks! 😊

To be fair, I did say I want Verizon App Manager uninstalled. I do, still, but I knew at the time it was likely impossible. I still made that request in case I was wrong, and to help get the point across. I want that app and the bloatware it installs as permanently gone as possible.

Why even bother, this reply is a joke. Anyone on this thread just do what I'm going to do and never give verizon another penny. Time to try a different carrier

The Verizon App Manager is part of the carrier software and can't be uninstalled. Carrier software on any carrier's phones can't be removed. If this concept is unpleasant to you, the only solution is to buy factory unlocked phones.

@SynthpopAddict Good thinking, but it didn't work. My trade-in Galaxy S21 was factory unlocked and the SIM triggered a restart and installed this bloatware on it.
8 months and Verizon has yet to answer
- How to be sure Verizon App Manager stays disabled?
- How to prevent Verizon App Manager (and others) from installing apps without my consent?
Thanks!

I don't know how that happened. My Samsung is a different model, but is unlocked and having a Verizon SIM card in it hasn't made it install the Verizon App Manager nor any other Verizon apps. A longtime Pixel user who has had 3 different unlocked Pixel phones on Verizon also said none of his phones have this app, as this topic comes up from time to time.

Sorry, I got "factory unlocked" and "carrier unlocked" crossed. My S21 was carrier unlocked. My past experience matches yours, so I went back and read both posts very carefully when I saw your reply.
