Digital Secure

Ever since I installed and have opted for Digital Secure, I get a bubble on my Verizon icon on my home screen along with an icon on the top left of my phone beside the time. Also get a locked symbol whenever I open my phone. How do I elliminate this icon? They are annoying and this is supposed to be working in the background app. Thinking I have a problem, I open this ap and all I get is a check mark and a white screen that has Dashboard on top and a settings, services and Dashboard at the bottom, with the normal options of the square, the dot and the left arrow.

The lock icon next to the time, I would have to think there's no way to get rid of that because it shows the app is running, albeit in the background. There are other apps which have the same convention.

The bubble usually comes after a scan has been completed. It is still a mystery how to get rid of it, but I can finally end up getting it turned off. The other day I went into a city that offered a wire-fi network and the digital secure let me know that it was a non-secure connection and that appeared on the dashboard, with an action I could take. I finally went into settings, notifications and turned off the notification for the digital secure and that removed the icon on the top bar. I can't remember if I had this off when I got the notification. I think I did, but remember I tried several times to replicate the scenario with no positive results. Still in limbo as to the effectiveness of the app with these actions.
