My ex had an account in which he paid $30 per line. He also had several adult kids and their spouses on the account. When we broke up, I tried to move my line but needed his permission or need to change my number and he refused to give permission. Out of the blue and without my knowledge or permission, he moved all of his kids and their spouses to a new account, removed the credit card from the existing account which was still in his name but the โ€œnumberโ€ was put in my name, and I had about 4 days to pay nearly $300 instead of $30. Plus because the account was technically still in his name, I could not get into the account, change the password, change the pin, remove his Disney Plus or his phone protection plan. I literally plan over 9 hours โ€œchattingโ€ or speaking with people at Verizon trying to fix this. The chats kept failing after an hour or so and I would have to start over. It seems that my ex had a friend who works at Verizon who was able to do this for me out of spite. This was the worst experience in my life

Privacy1 We're sorry to read about your situation. The account owner can make any changes on the account. Since the account is in his name, he is responsible for the charges on the account. Do you know if you were added as an account manager? ~Peter
