2014 Chevy Sonic and MyLink Voice Recognition Problems

I have a 2014 Chevy Sonic along with a Galaxy SIII - it is paired and my contacts are transferred. When I press the "call button" briefly, the screen goes to phone - then when I press again, MyLink tries to redial the last number called. When I press and hold in, the screen gives me the message "this device does not support voice recognition" - when I press and hold again, I get a verbal "call by saying a name or number". That is the only verbal response I can get, other than "I didn't catch that". Bottom line, I should be able to press the call button and hear it say "Ready" so I can proceed with a command!
I've been in contact with the dealer to help resolve this - would like to know if it is a setting in my phone that I'm unaware of, or if the Galaxy SIII (despite what the Chevy website says) just won't interface properly with MyLink, or if MyLink isn't functioning properly. Any help out there would be appreciated, thank you in advance!

It seems to be a problem with MyLink (which is riddled with functionality and usability flaws). My Moto X does exactly the same thing in my '14 Sonic LT. My previous car, a '12 Cruze LS with the base stereo, worked as advertised. When I yelled at GM's ICE "support" people, they told me it's functioning as intended. IOW, it's not a bug, it's a feature.
