I noticed 3G outage in San Francisco Bay Area for the past hour. Restart of the phone and removing the battery didn't resolve this issue. Did anyone else noticed that in other areas as well?

I am aware that we (users) can't fix that. I am just looking to hear if more people are having the same problem before calling Verizon as I know that they will tell me that it is a problem with a phone unless I will have proof that is their system problem.

I live in the Bay Area too and have no 3G. I tried removing the battery, *22899, but none of it worked. I called Verizon and they told to do everything I just did.. nothing. They say there is no outage in the area but maybe the Tier1 tech didn't have access to that info.

I just called into Verizon Support and she confirmed there is an outage here in the SF Bay Area. She said they are working on the issue, but she couldn't give me an estimate on when it would be fixed. 3 minutes after hanging up with her and I have 3G again as normal.

Mine never came back. 2+ hours and nothing. Verizon reps are clueless what is going on even that I told them that more people are complaining about. They offer me to replace the phone. Stupid F...

Finally, I was able to speak to supervisor. There is a problem with Sunnyvale router switch that is taking care of majority of the Northern California and especially SF Bay Area. There is a master ticket open for that and Verizon is working on resolution. No ETA at this time. Supervisor mentioned that when the next bill will come we can call and request bill credit for the day/time without coverage.

Your going to complain about a couple hours and what do you think VZW will give as credit? Its not worth it just bare with it, ours has gone out before and back on

I was just rephrasing what Verizon told me.
In my case, I lost connection in the middle of the meeting when I needed to have a connection. So for me that was a big deal. You don't have to ask for a credit back if you don't want to.

Yes, generally when there is a network problem, Verizon knows about it without anyone calling (unless someone is asleep, lol) and calling won't get it resolved. I've had several outages that may last several hours. Much LTE installation is going on and there is always routine maintenance.

It is one thing if outage last from a few minutes to an hour. But in my case, I was in downtown San Francisco out for over 4 hours in the middle of the work day on customer site. The good thing is that I had an AT&T connection as a backup otherwise, I would look totally like an **bleep** in front of my customers.
When Verizon advertise itself as the largest, better, and most dependable service provider they should be more proactive in managing their system resources. Having one router down shouldn't take down an entire Northern California area. The backup plans should kick in automatically and start reroutining on the spot.
Sorry but I am not buying that installation of LTE or regular maintenance excuse for having a network outage.
If Verizon knew about so why would they offer me a replacement phone stating that it is mine hardware issue.
