Since the jelly bean update, I cannot listen to media on my GS3 if my ringtone is on vibrate or mute. While listening to music at work, I need to keep my ringtone muted or vibrating. What happened? More imponrtantly: How do I fix this?

I understand where you are coming from, Being able to listen to music while at work and not disturb others around you is much needed at work. If you go into settings, Sounds and media. Allt he options she be checked and shall allow the music to be played without having to have the phone sound on loud.
