Auto correct on Galaxy S4

So I FINALLY upgraded my Droid X2 and bought the S4 today.  On my Droid, it would do the word recognition and I could simply hit the space bar to fill in with the correct word.  Is that something that can be done on the S4 or do I have to tap on the word every time to have it fill in for me?

Thx

I guess it's more of a keyboard thing. I run Swift Key and it does the suggestions well. and looking at the Installed Samsung Keyboard Settings - MyDevice Tab - Language and input Click on Samsung keyboard GEAR and you can turn predictive typing on or off, Under Swype (Which is included) same thing Settings - MyDevice Tab - Language and input - Tap the gear on Swype and under preferences is a next word prediction as well as auto space and auto capitalization options. You can also download any other keyboard flavor you may enjoy IE: SwiftKey or Minimal Keyboard from the Play store.

Good Luck

I had the same problem. I got the JellyBean keyboard app and set it as my default. That fixes it. Also use it on my Nexus 7.

Predictive text does not solve the auto-correct problem. I.e. "doesnt" doesn't automatically change to "doesn't". It only shows you... predictive text. You still have to select the correct word manually if you're using the default Samsung kb. Very bizarre that they wouldn't include auto-correct, even as an optional setting. What a no-brainer, and for a device that's supposed to be the latest and greatest.
