Automatic wifi calling?

I just transferred from another carrier and an HTC phone.  On my former phone, there was a setting that forced calls (and texts?) to go through wifi whenever wifi was available, and only used 3G or 4G when no wifi was available. How can I do this on my S4?

I don't think VZW ever had automatic Wifi calling on any of their phones right out of the box.  It might be available with an app though.  As for texting you have to have a data connection established for this to work. Sending texts does not use any data from your plan, it just counts against your text pkg.

T-Mobile and Republic Wireless are the only carriers that offer Wi-Fi calling.  This isn't an option on Verizon Wireless using your VZW-issued number.
