BEWARE THE SAMSUNG GALAXY S4!!!

My 60-day old Galaxy S4 no longer synchronizes with a PC. Not contacts, calendar, photos, music or anything. My phone was working fine, including sync. with MS Outlook. On November 11, they automatically updated their Kies 2.6 PC software to to Kies 3. After the update, the synchronization option just disappeared. When I tried to use Kies 2.6, it said it no longer supports my phone. When I contacted Samsung support, they told me that Kies 3 is still in beta testing and doesn't have a sync. feature! Tough Ruck!!! Now, how can I get my money back???

I dont know why you would think you would get your money back due to a software update, but you would need to discuss that with Samsung, who very politely and might I add in a round about way tell you to keep on movin'.

You won't get your money back. Its your phone. You will have to learn to live with it until Samsung fixes Kies so it will work again for your sync between your phone and computer. I just well imagine calling Samsung won't help much either, but you can try. My guess is they will fix it when they fix it and not a minute sooner. Good Luck with getting your SYNC working again. YMMV In the meantime search the internet on "Sync Samsung S4 with windows PC" That should come up with some kind of solution hopefully.

Just bought my phone 2 days ago. My previous phone died so I couldn't synch it with my new phone to get the contacts. "Just use Kies" says the guy in the store. Easy, awesome! I get home and finally have time to synch my phone...but wait, it says to install the upgrade. Boom, upgrade installed and now I have Android 4.3. Download Kies...now I have to use Kies 3...downloaded and...voila...no synch for contacts and calendar. I call Samsung..."Sorry Ma'm Kies does not support any Verizon phones." EXCUSE ME? So, no only does Kies 3 NOT have synch for my brand new phone but they don't even support ANY Verizon phone! Maybe someone needs to tell Verizon this...like...IMMEDIATELY!!!!!

I'm glad I'm not crazy. I too upgraded to the latest Kies software and my sync tab went away. I figured I did something wrong or there was a setting I needed to apply. Of course it couldn't of happened at a worse time. I need to update the information on my phone before I head out of town for a convention. Because my computer has the updated info, I'll have to manually add my updates to the phone which I have no time for.

Take your phone back to verizion before the 14 day return period and ask for a new one. When you get the new phone do not upgrade to 4.3 and you will be just fine. I have not upgraded my phone yet and do not plan to anytime soon.
