Backup Assistant Plus - for several days it has failed to complete the backup citing lost connection. I have connected it to wifi at home and work and it gives the same response, failed due to lost connection. How do I fix this? I have an S4.
We do want to ensure you have your information backed up. Now just to clarify are you using the "backup assistant' app or the "Verizon Cloud" app? If using BUA I owuld highly recommend switching over to the Cloud app. The Cloud is our newer version. It will still have all the things you had in your BUA so you do not have to worry about transferring those over.
If you are using the Cloud app, I would like you to go to your Settings->Application Manager. Along the top you can drag your finger from right to left until it shows ALL up above. This is going to pull up a list a mile long of everything on your device. Look for your Cloud app? It should be in alphabetical order. Can you then click on Force stop and then Clear Data and Clear Cache? After you have done this can you power the device off and back on again? When the device is back up and connected to WiFi try going back to your Cloud app and see what happens.

I am using BUA not the cloud. I do not want to move everything to the cloud right now so please tell me how to fix the BUA problem. It would have been preferred for you to have done that in the initial e-mail.
BUA is now called the Cloud. BUA was essentially a "cloud" service anyway, since it stored your info on a Verizon server anyway. Cloud is just all things BUA+ now.

Verizon Cloud will let you continue backing up your contacts, photos, videos, and music, but Verizon Cloud will also back up your text messages, media messages and call logs.
