Want to do two things with my S4:
1. Backup contacts to a PC.
2. Install Backup Assistant (not Backup Assistant Plus).
Thanks,
How are the contacts currently saved on the phone? Google contacts or phone only contacts? The symbol on the right side of the contact when viewing the list tells you which way they are saved.
Hello and happy Tuesday trdcsfd,
Backup Assistant is an excellent way to archive your contacts. It's super easy to use and the process is automated. Ann154 asked some great questions. If I can have you share the info that she asked then we can begin and provide the best options. Also, where would like to have your contacts archived at on your computer? If you can share that information as well then We're looking forward to your reply.
Thank you...

My recommendation is to save the contacts as Google Contacts. There are a number of pluses to using Google as your contact storage
1) Contacts are accurate and it will store complete addresses as well as multiple numbers
2) Automatically backs the contact up once you put it on your phone or edit the contact
3) Automatically loads the contacts on a new phone when you sign in as your Google account
4) can export the contacts directly out of Google to a CSV file
5) can use one of the many sync tools to sync Google Contacts from Google to Outlook or other contact managers on your computer.
Backup Assistant has issues with multiple numbers for a single contact as well as keeping the numbers associated with the correct contacts. I have spent many hours straightening out my contacts after Backup Assistant loaded them. Backup Assistant also has issues in capturing ALL contacts and picks and chooses at random what it wants to back up. Backup Assistant can use a lot of data when the system is slow and it needs to keep retrying to sync
