Being charged for data despite being on Wi-Fi

Im very careful with my data sage and only use it to connect to the internet to listen to music. But today I got up and it told me i had use 4 more gb and went and used the gb charge despite have data turned off and using wi-fi does anyone know how this could have happened

That is definitely not normal, inusora. Let's get to the bottom of this data usage. To confirm, when you stream music with your phone, all the streaming is down while connected to WiFi, correct? If you go to Settings > Data Usage, and scroll down just below the usage graph, how much data is marked as used. What are the top applications that have used data? (You may need to adjust the date markers on the graph, to view the full data usage results for the month.)

As long as you are connected to WiFi, your phone should not use cellular data unless it is for VZW services/apps. (Backup Assistant etc)
