Browser issue since jb 4.3 update

I updated to 4.3 on my SCH-I535 on Saturday. After the update, I had some minor issues but the major one was that I couldn't access my clipboard. Every time I tried, my phone would reboot. So after a lot of grief, I decided to do a factory reset. All went well with the reset and it fixed my issues from prior to the reset.
After the reset, I have a new issue. My stock browser doesn't work properly. I open the browser, but then I can't do anything else; can't click links, reload the page, use back button, soft keys on my phone don't function, can't minimize page or access my bookmarks. My only fix is hitting my "home" key then holding it down and selecting "remove from list" in the menu. Occasionally when this happens I get the dialog box that pops up saying "unfortunately your internet browser has stopped working" (or something to that effect). The only way I can access a different webpage other than my home page is to click a link. Fortunately, I saved all my bookmarks in my google mail so I can load that and access that page, but only that page as it becomes unresponsive.
I have cleared my cache, history, & cookies as well as rebooted my phone multiple times including several battery pulls
Is there a fix for this? I didn't have this problem before the factory reset and I really don't want to do it again as it took me 2 days to get my phone back to what I had before with apps, contacts, personalizing/organizing everything. It's just a pain having no browser. I don't think it's a memory problem as everything else works well (facebook, games, email, messaging all running at the same time)

I installed Dolphin browser, and that works ok, but I prefer the stock browser. My stock browser still isn't working properly.
It just freezes. I can't do anything on the loaded page. I can't reload the page, click links, or fill forms. The only thing I can do is close it by hitting the "home" button on my phone and starting over with the Dolphin browser

Clear the cache and data for the Internet app. Settings > Application manager > All tab. Scroll down to the Internet app and select it. From there clear the cache and data and force stop it.

You wrote "I have cleared my cache, history, & cookies". That isn't what I was referring to.

Thanks for trying to get this quirky issue taken care of, DeeM1993. The reset you did is usually one of the last things we want to try but it's always an option. It doesn't appear that the trouble with the browser you've described has been widespread. Resetting just the browser application using the steps Ann154 suggested is definitely a good start if you haven't already tried all 3 of those steps. It's a little different than clearing the cache, history, and cookies because it should reset the browser itself along with any of your personal data in the browser (which can be restored with your Gmail account as you mentioned you did with the full phone reset).
Please keep us posted if those steps help.
Thank you

Thank you for your reply.
I did do what Ann154 suggested, as that was what I was trying to explain to her - maybe I didn't make that clear. I've tried everything short of another factory reset but nothing has helped. I'm currently
using dolphin browser & that seems to be working fine.
So again, I'm sorry if there was confusion but I did go into app manager> all apps> internet
I cleared the cache, cleared the data, force stopped the app. I then restarted my phone.
This did not help & my problem only started after I did the factory reset because I was having problems with other functions after the 4.3 update.

Thank you for clarifying, DeeM1993. We would love to get the browser working properly for you again. Have you been able to try a different browser? If so, how is it now?

Was this problem ever solved? If so, what is the remedy because I am having the same problems?

Never used chrome, but thanks for the suggestion. The issue is with my stock browser becoming unresponsive
