Some recipients have complained that when I call them they hear loud beeps and 'squeals' on the line. I am told they do NOT sound like touch tones, but are higher pitched. I do not hear any sounds or noise on the line. The problem seems to repeat for all calls with these recipients, every time I call them. This happens both when calling cell phones and when calling landlines. Not everyone I call can hear the sounds. It seems like 'in network' calls to other Verizon cell phones have no problems, and that the problem only occurs when I call non-Verizon cell phones and landlines -- but that generalization could be inaccurate.
I am calling 'from' an area with strong LTE coverage (North NJ). The recipients who most often complain are in western NY ('long distance'). As I stated, both cell phones and landline recipients have complained.
I previously used an HTC Thunderbolt. People did not complain about noise on calls placed with that device.
