Call recipients complain about beeps and squealing

Some recipients have complained that when I call them they hear loud beeps and 'squeals' on the line. I am told they do NOT sound like touch tones, but are higher pitched. I do not hear any sounds or noise on the line. The problem seems to repeat for all calls with these recipients, every time I call them. This happens both when calling cell phones and when calling landlines. Not everyone I call can hear the sounds. It seems like 'in network' calls to other Verizon cell phones have no problems, and that the problem only occurs when I call non-Verizon cell phones and landlines -- but that generalization could be inaccurate.
I am calling 'from' an area with strong LTE coverage (North NJ). The recipients who most often complain are in western NY ('long distance'). As I stated, both cell phones and landline recipients have complained.
I previously used an HTC Thunderbolt. People did not complain about noise on calls placed with that device.

Hi QuintK,
Listening to unrecognized noises while receiving a phone must be very annoying! I understand your call recipients discontent. Reprogram your phone by removing the SIM card for 30 seconds and test. Doing this will reset the connection to the network and may very well resolve the issue. Keep us posted.
