Since disabling this app, I have not dropped data one time and my battery life is back to normal. Others have reported that disabling this app also fixed some volume issues they were having.
If you go to the app and into its settings, if appears to give you the option to delete the app, that's not true, all it does is remove the app icon. Go into your application manager and disable the app.
Give it a try and see what happens.
Agreed. My battery life is back to somewhat normal. I have also disabled "google location service" since the latest Google Play upgrade kills your battery life. I have the newer Play upgrade that is rumored to fix it. but was playing it safe. My "alarms" volume is still lower even with the Caller Name ID app disabled.
It's been over 24 hours for me and I haven't had a drop in my data connection. My battery life is also back to normal. 100% certain that this was the cause of my issues.
