The camera on the back of my phone will no longer focus.  Any suggestions?

Good day to you, ajkrieg! I apologize for the loss of focus capability. In order to help, I would like to know more about what happens when you try to do this. The focus option on the Galaxy S III is available when the preloaded camera application is launched. First, do you still use that app or have you installed a custom app? If your working with the preloaded app only, what happens when you try to change focus? Do you have the option to change it but notice that it doesn't actually change? Do you have the camera app set up for any other image features? Has your device been damaged in any way?

I use the preloaded app.  When I touch the screen it tries to focus.  Normally, when it focus', the box where you touched turns green, mine now turns red.  My phone has not been damaged.

I appreciate the details ajkrieg! Let's get your camera up and running again so you can capture the magic. Please launch the camera app, then select the Settings icon and choose the Focus Mode to Auto Focus. Please make sure nothing is covering the camera, like a case or protector.

Auto Focus is on and there isn't anything covering the camera.

Thanks for the information ajkrieg. Is there a case or screen cover on your phone? If so remove them. I had the same issue with my SIII. Keep us posted.
