Yes, the Galaxy S5 has a removeable, replaceable battery.  Google for it, there are many sources for OEM batteries at reasonable cost.

Great question as battery life greatly impacts your enjoyment of your device.There are several third party options to purchase a new battery if you choose. Alternatively if you are still under warranty we can explore your options as well. How long have you had the phone?

3 1/2 years old.....

I'll take to Verizon store for assistance, but phone just won't turn on, so I assume the battery.....do you agree???

have you tried plugging into a wall charger. with original cable.

stick with a verizon battery...amazon will be cheaper & be claimed to be oem....it's cheaper for a reason.
