This morning Verizon offered the 8+ with the free gear. I went to the store to purchase an 8+ which I did and they say the offer is gone. It was dated 4/21 this morning and it has disappeared. Any thoughts on how to still get this free?

The only remaining online references to the Gear VR promotion state that it was just for Galaxy S8 pre-orders. Now that it's been officially released today, that promotion is no longer eligible for anyone that hadn't already pre-ordered.
