Cannot clear failed email

I had an Exchange email that I replied to back in September that failed to send. Every time I reboot the phone, this "sending failed" message comes up with the subject line of that email. How can I get rid of this email? It's not visible in any of my desktop clients, and we don't use that email provider at work any longer, so there is no way to "just send it again." If I try to click on that status message, it goes to email but the message is not there. Is there a way to permanently clear the error?

That has to be aggravating, lisaskil! My home cable service has something like that now. A show that we watched won't delete from the DVR. Annoying!! Anyway, I would remove and re-add the email profile from your exchange account. That should stop the sending process.
You may need the account settings of the email account before doing this. If you set it up yourself, you may just recall the info you put in the first time (the address itself, the password, incoming and outgoing server addresses if needed). Let me know how that goes!
