Recently I've been having trouble charging my S5. We got the phones in the beginning of March and this problem started about a month ago. At first, I thought it was just the one charger, since the charger my partner has worked, but last night, her charger also stopped working in my phone. What happens is that it'll sometimes start charging, then after a few minutes an error will flash on the screen that the charger is incompatible with my phone and to use the original charger that came with the phone. It IS the original charger that came with my phone. The one charger I used last night (came with my partner's Galaxy S5) won't charge at all now. This second charger also did not work in my partner's S5, but the other one does . I don't know if somehow my phone is messing up the chargers/shorting them out or what it happening.
I was able to use yet another charger last night to charge my phone, but this one was a basic micro USB and not the 3.0 USB data type one that comes with the phone. The reason I got rid of my last phone was because of charging issues. It's really upsetting that 4 months into having this one, I'm already having issues with this one. I fear I'm going to have to resort to removing the battery and charging the battery from the wall and then replacing it.
