Clock not updating?

I purchased my Galaxy S3 last week and I have noticed the clock that appears in the top right corner while in use does not update or keep up with the current time. The clock widget works fine and when the phone is locked that clock is accurate as well, but that one clock is just not keeping up with the others. Other than the typical restart, I just don't know what to do to make this glitch go away. Any suggestions?

Hi Stakely,  Let's keep you on time!  Is the time off by minutes or hours?  Does the time correct itself each time you restart?  Is this affecting the Alarm operation? Please check Menu>Settings>Date and time, is Automatic date and time as well as Automatic time zone checked?

Hi thank you for replying, I actually forgot I posted!

The issue actually applies to the battery icon as well. For example, right now my phone clock reads 6:52 a.m. with a 100% charge, yet it is actually 12:59 p.m. and I have a 54% battery life. When I reset, it catches back up but eventually "freezes" again. The other icons such as the alarm clock, 3/4G, vibrate, GPS, and bluetooth still work accordingly. The alarm clock does still work because the actual phone clock is fine, it's just the battery and clock icons located in the top right portion of the screen doesn't stay up-to-date.
