Connecting to blue tooth devices previously paired to my old phone

I recently updated to note 10 + 5g from note 8.  The blue tooth devices i paired with on the old device show up but will not pair on my new phone.  I have tried 3 of them so far.  Help...what am i missing?  Blue tooth is on phone finds the device but doesnt pair
