Since the update, I am either "roaming" or have 1X service. Only have 3G or 4G right after I restart my phone. That is also the only time I can send/receive texts. I can no longer make or receive phone calls, either.
I have used to install repair program verizon had me download. It did not fix any of my problems. It's almost like my phone has been reconfigured for a different network. No one else in my family updated and no one else is having these problems. Even my 2 kids who have the exact same phone as me are not having issues with texting or calling.
Ensure that network mode is set to LTE/CDMA and not Global. You also might try removing the SIM card for a few minutes (be careful not to touch the gold contacts).
I just got off the phone with a tier 2 tech from Verizon. They are sending me a new sim card. Basically, my phone no longer recognizes the network. It is a $$$ tiny wifi tablet at this point.
A new SIM card would have been my next suggestion if the earlier two didn't help. Hopefully that'll take care of it for you.
Yep. I had already done everything else I could think of. Complete reset of my phone. Took the sim card out for about 5 minutes. Ran the update repair software. I just could not get it to send or receive anything!
