Default notification volume now 1/2 since upgrade

Before the upgrade my "default notification" was maxed out in volume and very very loud on all my sounds. 

Since the upgrade the MAX volume level now 1/2 even though the slider is maxed out.

I have all the volume levels maxed out.

My ringtones volume appears to be unaffected.

What am I missing. Is there some new setting with this upgrade I am missing?

Nothing has changed on my side.

This makes the alarm feature of this phone WORTHLESS! I can't seem to find any other places to increase the volume. Suggestions?

I called the technical support this morning because after the update, my volume went down, phone kept freezing, and it was showing the 4G/Wifi Signals at the same time. After doing the factory reset, still wasn't working properly, so they are sending me another phone.

Let's get your volume back to normal bucknastytoo! A factory reset isn't a popular troubleshooting step however, it is very effective. Please backup your device and complete a reset by following the visuals here http://vz.to/16GW51c Please keep me posted on your success. Thank you.

thanks for the suggestion, but I have read countless areas where factory reset is worthless. I will wait for the new upgrade to fix all that was broken.  Just disabling that horrible Caller ID Now app the new firmware put on my phone fixed the volume issue with my notifications.
