Dialing out calls weird issue ??

We have our new phones now for 3 weeks,

and they we're ported over from US Cellular.

This morning, we tried dialing some numbers and got the message

"Sorry you cannot dial outside right now with US Cellular"

Why is that... is that because of the porting ? (We got a message that those we're completed...... or is that not the case??? )

ok, this is the message.

"Message MD, thank you for calling US Cellurar, your call cannot be completed"

This happens when I forget to use my local area code.

I am in 920, but still need to use 920....

Mrdutchie, thanks for posting. Are you still having issues w/ your port? Can you tell me if you are dialing a 10 digit number when you are dialing out? Please share.

I understand you recently ported your number from US Cellular and received a message from us that the port has been completed. Did you reprogram your phone after the port was completed? If not simply power off phone, remove SIM card, then reinsert SIM card back into phone and power phone back on. For directions click http://vz.to/1c0J69x I also want to verify the coverage area you are in. can you please provide us with the zip code you are using the phone in? My zip is 53594. And I did remove the sim already.

Thanks for the info mrdutchie. We recommend having all numbers saved as the full 10 digit number in your phone. It sounds like you may be in an area that we have agreements to use US Cellular towers and that may be why sometimes you can use 10 digits and others you can't. Save as 10 digits to avoid any errors.
