Does anyone know the * codes for Verizon ie *611 *86 etc.

I got a new S4 but the number of bars on the screen (Signal Strength) at my home is less then my older phone (iPhone 4S). Does anyone know the code you dial to search for the best towers the phone should be connecting to or for that matter a list of all the codes they used to give you with a new phone? Thanks in advance for any help.

*228 is the "search for the best towers" code you're thinking of (really, it updates your PRL, and can also program your phone, depending on which options you pick.

IT DOES NOT APPLY to 4g LTE phones. They update their PRLs via the SIMOTA process when powered on, you do not need to, and should not, call *228 on any 4g LTE phone.

Hi HawaiiDuffer,
We strive to offer you the very best reception all over the nation! Thanks to Jax_Omen for offering the details about 4G devices. May I ask if you are having trouble using the device based on the low signal? It is possible the device just interprets and displays the bars differently even though the actual signal strength is similar. I look forward to your reply!

Thank you,
