IT doesn't need an app. The GS6 and GS6 edge have fingerprint recognition. It is built into hardware. The feature cannot work on phones without the feature built in already.
Note 3, GS5 don't have it.
Note 4, GS6, GS6 Edge, Samsung Galaxy alpha Note 5, etc do have it.
