Don't even bother posting on those sites against Verizon or Samsung you don't have enough people to do any good they will just laugh and say wow just a few out of many thousands. It is sad the word cannot get out to many more and have the many more put their comments out there but some people are lazy and leave it p to others and in the meantime complain the most

Tell that to the people who own the Mesmerize, or the people who own the Sony Ericssons Xperion X10 .

Interesting read. And you can bet that it was customers speaking with their wallets and not mass facebook/twitter whining that caused the change. And they're not updating all X10's. Just the generic non-carrier modified versions so AT&T customers are probably out of luck.

Seems like you have a problem with people defending themselves, if you don't agree with them you call them whiners. I've read a lot of your posts and you seem to be the one that is the whiner quite often! I used your criteria for labeling others whiners so you should not be offended if you do it to others!

The way I see it is that gingerbread was not a promised update for the fascinate, but froyo was.

I think Samsung really does enjoy torturing Fascinate owners, go to their website for Fascinate Support and you will find the 2.2 update for us is there...NOT.http://www.samsung.com/us/support/downloads/SCH-I500RKAVZW

Dud, quit posting that all over. When the Froyo update is ready, it will be OTA, not a download from Samsung using kies.

Do you think I posted that link because I think we would we would get Froyo from it? Did you ever stop to consider that my intent was to show what a sloppy careless company Sammy is. How can they possibly figure out an update for our phones when they can't ACCURATELY run a website.

Smokie11 you have made an excellent point! I read your other post saying that your worked on samsung products and that the mechanical parts were good but not the software to operate them. The fascinate's hardware is good but the software is definitely lacking! Hardware and software must work together flawlessly. If one is lacking it tears down the performance of the other and then the entire package suffers.

yeah, Samsung makes great hardware, software not so much. I've had the Thunderbolt for a little over a week and I like the Fascinate hardware a lot better. The Super AMOLED screen, 4" form factor, light weight, and CPU/GPU combo all make me miss the device slightly. But the software more than makes up for it on the Bolt. It's just not even close as SenseUI is years ahead of Touchwiz. It just works and offers a much more enjoyable user experience. Not to mention HTC actually updates their US devices in a timely fashion and is expected to release Gingerbread in the next couple months.
