Facebook for Android Gains Better Photo Support

Facebook has provided a minor update to its application for the Android platform. The new features are concentrated on improving support for pictures. The new version allows users to upload photos to their friends' walls and upload photos to Groups. Photos will now upload with the correct orientation, and have improved appearance in landscape mode. Facebook also made some security tweaks (added SSL) and fixed a handful of bugs. The update is available to download via the Android Market.

I did the update yesterday after seing this and now cant view Videos people post plus pics dont show when you go on site until you click on spot where picture is supposd to be. When video I click on it and it says need falsh player which this phone does not have. Anyone know how to clear out this new FB and go back to old which worked real good (the one downloaded from the market)?

You can easily delete the new FB app from your cell. If you could find an earlier version of FB, the one you already had, reinstall the old one. I know some companies keep older software versions online, I'm not sure if FB does that or not. If you can't find the older software, contact FB and make them aware of the problem and hopefully they will immediately fix it.

Thank you Bill I might have to contact FB because the market only shows new one. Now I'm **bleep** I had something good and because of 2.1 it's **bleep** now. I will be joining the protest

I called Verizon support earlier with this problem, and after 32 minutes of going back and forth with 2 different people, and after 1 of them telling me I needed to "Factory Reset my phone to fix the problem", they finally sent me to someone who actually knows something, and he said his Fascinate is doing the same thing. He is running 2.1 and in his words is "Impatiantly waiting for the 2.2 update also...", and thinks Facebook will put out an update to fix the issue. I told him Verizon could fix it also by putting out the 2.2 update...

No such luck, I got the "I wish I could.." response.

I found out I have same problem with vids and pics WTH we have to do now.

loaded Froyo tell us if Facebook V1.5.2 works after the update on their phone? I am curious if it is just a bad update, or is it just because we are running 2.1?
