I have a Download folder saved to the SD card but everytime I save a picture from a text it creates a new separate download folder that is saved on the device's internal memory. How do I get it to automatically save to the SD card folder?
The option of where to save photos should be within the messenger app's setting menu.
There is no option for that.
I also like to save important pictures from my text threads to my device storage or SD card, Metrock. Let’s make sure we find a solution so you can as well. Can you please provide us the steps you are taking to save the pictures? The more detail the better.

within the camera settings can you select where to save, phone or sd card??
Camera usually is no issue, but depending upon the manufacturer and carrier, the stock message app might allow picture messages to be saved internally and externally. The LG G4 does this.
