Hello, does anyone know how to get my notifications to read through my speakers of my vehicle? I have paired the device and drive mode is on, but still nothing. Anyone else had this issue?

Hello UAVPilot1,
Living in Illinois I understand the importance of hands free driving! May I ask what is the make and model of your vehicle? Have you had the opportunity to test the readout with other car systems or Bluetooth headsets? I look forward to your reply so we can work towards a solution!
Thank you,

I have a 2012 Toyota FJ Cruiser. The phone connection works fine, both calling and receiving calls. I was reading that drive mode alerts through my vehicle that I have a text or email message, but it has not worked at all.

UAVPilot,
Thank you for the information. I do show that the device and car are capable of this function. I do not show any reason you should not be hearing the notifications. One thing you will want to check is that the sound for both your notifications and media are turned up. Also you can look into going into Settings>Apps>S voice Drive Mode> Clear Cache. This should clear any possible bugs in the application. Please keep us updated on this and we can check on other options.
Thank you,

Ok, got it fixed now. I found the answer on other Toyota FJ forums and it seems to be a common issue Toyota wide. For anyone that has a Toyota FJ Cruiser, or any Toyota vehicle with blue tooth and the same described issue I had, here is what I did to fix it. If you have had other phones connected to your system, you have to delete them all. Un pair your phone from the vehicle and restart your phone. Do a fresh pair of your phone and if needed, then your media device. Not saying this is the only way it will work, but this is what I had to do and the order I had to do it in.

Ok, spoke too soon. Now it has stopped performing S-voice and text messaging notifications again. It worked for a few and then my phone froze and rebooted on its own. After it came back, and with drive mode activated, it did not read out over my blue tooth system. So, I am lost again...

UAVPilot1, thanks for keeping us posted. Have you downloaded any new 3rd party applications from the Play market recently? Some application software updates can affect the performance of your device. I recommend that you unsync the bluetooth and sync again.
