No email since the update. Receiving message 'email sync is turned off'. Cannot find a setting for email sync. HELP. I am a new customer to Verizon and this 1st update experience is the pits! I also have the battery life issue as others have noted.

I had this email problem this morning after the update. "Master Sync" was turned off...
On the home screen, do the pull down where you can turn on/off things like GPS, Wifi etc. If Sync is not there Click the 4-square looking icon in the top right of the screen. It should drop down a complete list of items that you can turn on/off. Turn sync on if it is off...
It fixed my issues: I'm usig the stock email app through a microsoft exchange server. Good luck
I am having the same problem and it is very, very annoying. My e-mail is filling up on the phone, and I cannot get the count to clear even if I do a manual sync through settings-accounts-email. The circle at the bottom of e-mail just cycles. I have had the same problem since the update as well. I hope that Verizon sees this and can get a fix.
I am in this boat also. When I try to synch mail, I get the message that sync is turned off, and nothing has synched since the update. HELP!!!!!!!

We want you to be able to receive all your emails to your device! What type of email account are you having issues syncing? Where to able to locate the "Sync" option in the notification pull down screen and turn it on? Have you tried to remove and readd the email account? http://vz.to/1jcMw9S

I searched for a long time looking for "Master sync" and never found it. But you're right, it was "Sync" on the settings toggle screen.
Do you know if Sync was just added in this update, or if it was always there? And if it was always there, was it always linked to the email app? Does the NC5 ("No-Connectivity-5"/2014) update disable it intentionally?
