In reviewing the information on Verizon and following Verizon's instructions, I have no Emergency Alert function. It says to go to the home screen and select settings then scroll down to Emergency Alert. I have no "emergency alert" in the menu or under any of the menu items that I can find. I also have missing icons in the drop down menu and was trying to research that as well. When reviewing Verizons how to area it seems that either this phone or the latest update has changed the way the phone functions and I'm not able to do things like I could before. HELP!!!

Have you looked in your apps for the Emergency Alerts?
Try the settings in the Messaging app.

No need to worry, mel2020. I will resolve your concerns about the missing items on your phone. The Emergeny Alert should still be there. Go to: Settings>Sound>Emergency Tone. Let me know if this helps.
Can you provide me with few more details about the missing icons? Which icons are missing?

Is your location using the alerts as in the the NWS is able to send them out? I would think they have to be there somewhere. I discovered my Nexus was capable of notifying of such an alert last night.
I'm most definitely NOT a VZW employee. If a post answered your question, please mark it as the answer.
