Enabling WiFi calling option is grayed out

Hello community.  I purchased an unlocked S10e through Amazon and have Verizon service.  Reception at my house is not good and I want activate WiFi calling.  Under the Phone App, the toggle to enable WiFI calling is grayed out.  Took the phone to my local Verizon store (very helpful, but they were not able to find a resolution).  They reset the phone network and other settings multiple times, replaced the SIM card, rebooted the system many times....all to no avail.  Any suggestions?  Thank you.

Thanks for reaching out. One thing that I would suggest it checking to make sure the device is compatible with the Verizon network. Wi-Fi calling would be a Verizon specific feature, and you'll need your device to be 100% compatible with the network. You can check by using this link. https://www.verizon.com/bring-your-own-device/  -Joel

Thanks for the quick response.  Yes, I validated that my device is compatible with the Verizon network.  Thanks.

Glad to be of assistance and want you to get the most from the device and network. Is the device updated with the latest software, just to confirm? Calls, texts, and data work as expected off of Wi-Fi?

Hi Chris - yes, the phone is functional for calls, texts, etc...off of wifi.  My issue is the Verizon signal in my house is weak and I can't sustain a call or receive calls.  I purchased a Verizon LTE Extender, but the tech says I still need Wifi-calling enabled on my phone in order to get any benefit from the LTE Extender (which seems odd to me...).
