Finally, I said, Froyo for my phone. Updated today and seemed like I have better signal reception for 3G and phone. However, when I tried Navigation and Google Maps, it could not find any satellites. I used GPS Status app which used to acquire satellites quickly and did not get any satellites. Does anyone have any suggested fix for this problem? Looks like VZW messed up on this function again. They fixed it in the download in March(?), now it's broke again.

Works fine on my Fascinate. Do you have location services turned on (Standalone GPS and Google Location Services)?

Try menu settings location and security
make sure vzw location , standalone gps and google location services are all checked. All 3.
( it should work with just standalone and google checked..but check all 3 first as a test ).
If not..you can try downloading GPS STatus and Toolbox from the market.
( this has a tool that will let you reset the A-GPS data ( assisted gps ).)
this will a lot of the times fixe the problem.
Not sure what else it could be.. good luck.

Setting the location services seemed to do the trick. I had Standalone GPS off for some reason but the navi still worked with Google Navigation.
(I tried GPS Status, per earlier post, but that was not acquiring satellites either).
Thanks for the help.
Wished this was in some release document from VZW, but no such thing.
