GPS is not working

My Google GPS is not working in California or New York. GPS keeps searching and dropping all the time with the latest update of Android 4.3.

I took my phone to a verizon store and the sale man took my phone and clear the cache but it did not work. I removed the sims card and the battery but it still does not work. What can be done?

what are you selecting in settings, "location", gps, verizon, google??

Hi Bearone21, I have selected GPS & Verizon Location services and Google WiFi & mobile network location.
