How do I get my Samsung GS5 to allow me to read my Verizon emails from the native device email app before they disappear? Also, all of my SAVED messages have disappeared from my account. HELP!!!

Approximately 2 weeks ago, whenever I open my email app, the emails that were already downloaded just disappear. They aren't in deleted folders, or anywhere else on my phone that I can find. I have 3 email accounts, and only the yahoo one doesn't disappear. The other two accounts are not from the same server. One is a Go Daddy and the other is a Cox. I never changed any settings, so why would they all of a sudden start disappearing? I can't find the answer in any searches I do on the web. Help would be greatly appreciated.

Nope...they were both already IMAP. I deleted both accounts anyway, and reloaded. Emails download, but disappear the next time I open the apps. I can't find them anywhere after that.
