Galaxy Core Prime Error Code 9007

Every time someone leaves a voice message:

1) The phone does not beep to let me know a message has arrived.

2) The phone's blue light does not come on indicating I have a new voice message.

3) A status message appears when I drag down saying that something went wrong with voice mail and "error code 9007".

I have cleared the cache and power-cycled the phone. Does not help.

Please ask the programmers of the software what "error code 9007" means. Someone had to write the program to return that specific code and should know what 9007 means.

The problem is with VOICE messages, not TEXT messages. Sending me a link to change notifications on TEXT messages does not help. Generic "troubleshooting" does not help. I gave you the specific error code. A programmer should be able to tell you exactly what that code refers to.

There has been no water damage, dropping, etc. The link to the Device Troubleshooting will not let me select Samsung; it keeps reverting to Apple or All.

Apologies for any confusion, but the Error 9007 that you are getting happens for one of two reasons. One is that there is a pending order on the account causing an issue - you would be able to know if a pending order is on the account through this link to the My Orders page in My Verizon (login required): http://spr.ly/660815nBK . The other cause would be you are using a SIM card in the phone that is not considered the preferred SIM. This happens a lot when the SIM from an older device is used in a newer one to activate it, as that was a common step with older phones (it's not recommended with newer ones). Do you recall where the SIM card that is inside your Galaxy Core Prime came from? Last week I discovered the native VM app is failing with the above error. I've had this phone for a year + and the voicemail app has always worked fine anywhere I go. I called support and the issue was escalated to the next tier. Over night all bluetooth connections were deleted as were all saved WIFI locations. I'm not sure what else was changed. But voicemail still failed with error 9007. I *could* access VM from *86. New VM notifications were sporadic and this is a problem.

This recent problem is occurring when I am at home at which time US Cellular is the only signal. On a recent trip to town and in VZ service, the VM app worked as normal. When I returned home it was error 9007 again. We've been here for many years and this just happened to my phone. BTW, my wife has a Pixel and it has no problems with the VM app. We have a zBoost, again, for many years just to get 2-3 bars in a small range of the inside xmittor.

The only other tidbit I can add is I had an update awaiting installation a few weeks ago. I stalled it but it did install itself automagically one night. Dang. It was yet another 'update' that wasn't appreciated and seemed to correlate with this new problem. I have *very* few apps installed. This phone is basically bare bones yet busted now.

If this is a way to force me to an upgrade then make me an offer. You get to sell another contract term and I get VM back.
