Just wanted folks to know that the Google Factory Image for the Galaxy Nexus "Toro" (CDMA/LTE) is now available for download on the Google Developers website. This is the same place where all other Google Nexus line factory images are listed.
BTW, have you noticed that the Galaxy Nexus Support page on VZW still lists the update as "Coming Soon"? Am I looking at the wrong page?
This is my first smartphone...what would I do with this Image that you refer to? I have Android 4.0.4 installed on my phone now.
@JGeezle, it does not do anything special for you right now. However, the fact that Google has the factory images available means that the update is officially released. The other benefit is that if you go the route of rooting and flashing roms, the factory image will allow you the opportunity to revert back to "factory" official image.
