Highlight the picture by pressing on it and across the top of your screen a trash can along with some other icons should appear. Hit the trash can icon and it's gone.

Select the photo you want to delete by tapping on it. On the very top right of the screen there is a menu selection looks like 3 dots. It will ask if you want to delete.
Or you can look at the list of pictures and by touching and holding the one you want to delete and you will see a trash can icon.
