Galaxy S22+ voicemail notification not working

I am not receiving notifications when I have a voicemail message - and based on the message board, this is a system-wide problem with Verizon. I had important messages go unanswered because of this issue. I was unaware of the problem until I ran into someone who asked why I never responded to their voicemail message.

1. From a Home screen tap Phone
.
If unavailable, swipe up to display all apps then tap Phone
.
2. Tap the Menu icon
(upper-right).
3. Tap Settings.
4. Tap Voicemail.
5. Tap Notifications.
6. Tap Advanced.
7. Select the different notification options to turn on
or off
(e.g., vibrate, notification dot, etc.).
8. Tap Sound to change notification sound.
