Galaxy S4 LCD cracked

I was sitting on a stool and recently dropped my one month old S4 onto my kitchen linoleum floor.   I picked it up and everything seemed fine no cracks in the glass and still in new condition.  Later in the day, there were colored lines running through the pictures.  I thought it was just the battery and took them out, but unfortunately it was not.  The LCD screen was damaged underneath and slowly began to fade out (almost like it was bleeding internally!!). The verbal commands still work and I can hear texts and emails still arriving. I've had several different phone and this new one replaced the original galaxy s (still actually worked but changed providers).  I am very surprised the LCD would crack so easily!  I am searching for others with a similar complaint.  I think this may be a manufacturing issue as I have never had any issues previously.  I did not purchase insurance as I have never had an issue with any other phones. Has anyone else had similar issues with the LCD cracking after a small fall?

Elle1125,
That is some crushing news to hear that your device screen is not responding normally. We do have some options for you. One would be to contact Samsung to have them assist with repairing it since it still is under its one year warranty, they can offer a solution. We are not aware of any known issue currently with the sensitivity of the Samsung S4 screen. Did you have any sort of case or screen protector on the device? I would suggest having one going forward since we now offer many that fit your needs from heavy duty to ones for glamour. Please keep us posted or if there is anything else we can do to help.
