Galaxy S4 Will No Longer Connect to the Mobile Network

About two weeks ago i started having a problem where unless I was connected to a wifi network i would have no data. Whenever I'm out my 3g/4g never pops up. I can't browse the internet, listen to pandora, etc. The one exception is when i go to send a picture or receive a picture my 4g will magically pop up for the second it takes to send the picture. It's really frustrating though because i pay for mobile data that i can't even use. I just want my S4 to start connecting to the mobile network again.

In addition to the above suggestions, you can put the phone in airplane mode for a few minutes, then take it off and turn on mobile data, that sometimes gets it working again.

Another thing to try is turn off the phone, remove the SIM card (be careful not to touch the gold contacts), wait a few minutes, then re-insert the SIM card, turn the phone back on, and allow a few minutes for the network connection to be re-established.

If all that fails, you might try a new SIM card; they're free at your local Corporate Verizon store.

Hve you called tech support and talked to them yet? *611 I only know the simple solutions to try first...Turn the phone all the way off and then turn it back on.... Make sure battery is fully charged.... Double check if mobile data setting is on. That's about all I've got...sorry, I am still a new S4 user. I am thinking about signing up for one of verizons classes on how to use the phone :smileyhappy:

Thanks tiki, hadn't heard about the airplane mode idea! And I wan't sure about removing the sim card.trick, didn't know at what point to try it, ie before or after talking to a rep.

I am experiencing a similar issue, however I could not make calls or send and receive text messages. My husbands iphone worked just fine and my moms Note 2 also worked, it was just my galaxy s4 that had no service. I was unable to get it to work at all. I love the phone, but not sure it's worth this little irritiating issue.

I myself can't believe the trouble that I've had with Verizon in the last 2 weeks . I'm not sure what Verizon is doing I was told it is my phone then it was towers that was my phone then it was towers I can't make calls or receive calls I am on an unlimited data plan and I'm wondering if everybody else that has that plan is having the same problem because they don't want us on that plan
