Have had the galaxy S4 for one week now. Purchased 3 for our family brand new. It seems that one of them gets quite warm during usage and while charging. If its not on the charger or being used it feels like a normal room temp. Now today when the charger is plugged in it says the charger is not compatible with the phone and to use the original charger. (Which we are using) even tried using the other chargers from the other phones. same message. The other phones do not display this message. Anyone have any insight? Was this phone messed up? Anyone know if it is exchangeable since we have only had it a short amount of time?

That would be very upsetting. I would definitely bring the device to a store for an evaluation. Yes you can return a device within the first 14 days of purchase under our worry free guarantee.
