Galaxy 4 phone will not charge and it keeps saying that it is docked when it is not.
First check your charger port for dust or dirt, next clear system cache and then power down phone and remove battery. Wait about 5 minutes and then replace battery and try to charge. Your problem may be a dirty charger port, bad battery or software corruption in the charging circuit.
I want your phone charging again penpal! Have you had a chance to try GalaxyClass suggestions? Have you tried different chargers to see if it will charge? When did this started? Please share details so we can further assist. AmberF_VZWFollow us on Twitter @VZWSupport
This is the classic grey battery problem. This is a known issue with S4. Search for 'grey battery S4' in google to see the list of complaints. It happened to me 6 months after purchase. My assumption is you would have used a different micro usb charger than the one that came with your phone. Try swapping the battery and the problem might go away - it did go away for me.This is one of the reason why I had been having the spare battery. If you have any friend/family member who has S4 please try using their battery first to see if the issue goes away. I had to swap the battery at least 3-4 times. For the last 3 months it had been working fine as I have been using only the original charger.
