Galaxy S6 marshmallow update, Contacts now changed/messed Up

Hello, after the Marshmallow update yesterday on my Samsung Galaxy S6 a lot of my Google Contacts randomly changed names.  As an example, I have a contact named "Randy V"  now when I search for "Randy V"  it comes up "Total healthy Lifestyle" as the contact name with his correct number.  Interestingly when I search Randy V in Contracts it pops up "Total Healthy Lifestyle"   It did this to a bunch of contacts.  Please advice.

gogators920 - Having your contacts in order is a must. Please tap on Apps>Contacts>More>Settings>Contacts to display. Do you have all contacts selected?

I do have all contacts selected. I also have random Facebook pictures syncing with incorrect contacts.

Not only are all of my contacts messed up but since updating it hates wifi ... anywhere... won't load pages at any location I go to or at home  using wifi....have to turn wifi off and use data... what's the point then? This update is horrible and it has ruined my phone

For me, it has merged contacts across all platforms that I use - Google (all of my google accounts), Facebook, Outlook, etc.  Mess up with contacts seems to be...believe this or not...based on contact's birthday!  After Marshmallow, a Facebook friend with a 12/29 birthday was somehow merged with my sons who has a 12/28 birthday.  My son's information was merged with this other person and showed up on my phone as the FB friend not my son.  What the [removal required by the Verizon Wireless Terms of Service]   My Verizon cloud now has all of these contact too from a backup done 4/8 so it isn't even right now.

Internet slow, phone response slow.... loved my phone but now-- more than a little irritated.

Gmail is not my default email.  That being said, emails phone numbers..pictures are now jumbled and several people are [removal required by the Verizon Wireless Terms of Service] ...names no longer seen listed in contacts, but a search shows them as attached to another profile with a different name.

Also, Facebook nolonger is allowing me to sync.  This update is a mess.

We want your contacts to be organized the way you want them, Vychan. Software updates are created by manufacturers to improve your wireless experience, not otherwise.

Do you have your contacts backed up on a cloud service? If not, I recommend backing up to the Verizon Cloud http://spr.ly/6589BcNoF then do a factory reset http://spr.ly/6584BcNoA as this step can resolve any post software update issues. Make sure to disable the Automatic Restore http://spr.ly/6586BcNoC feature when processing the factory reset.

I am unsure how backing up my contacts (that are messes up) will fix anything.  As backing up my contacts will back them up in their current status....being messed up.

On a separate note... Google has been giving my updates on Reno weather since the update..it's been a nuisance that I ignore, but my significant other had their phone update and is doing the same. We do not live in Reno, not even Nevada for that matter.

SaraDianne, we never want for you contacts to be merging with other contacts. Let’s get this fixed. In the contact application, tap on more>Settings>Contacts to display. Please select the one that you want. Once this is done, select merge after you tap on more. Are you able to unmerge the contacts here?

My contacts are jacked as well.  Click on a name and it calls someone else.  Needs to be fixed ASAP!
