Galaxy S8+ 3500mAh vs. Galaxy S22 3700mAh

I have a Galaxy S8+ right now, and am thinking of getting an S22. I'd prefer the regular s22 rather than the S22+ because it's smaller, but I am concerned about battery life.

My S8+, which has 3500mAh, would last two days or more on a charge when it was new, which I thought was pretty amazing.

The S22, which has 3700mAh, seems to have bad reviews when it comes to battery life. This confuses me.

Is it just that the expectations around battery life have changed in more recent years, or is it that the new processors and technology use more battery? Or something else?

underrugswept, the S22 is a very nice device. I rely on my phone for many tasks, so I know how important it is to have long battery life. We can provide the available information that we have about the battery for this device. The device comes with a non-removable 3700 mAH Lithium battery that provides up to 15 hours of usage time and up to 260 hours of standby time. We hope this information helps.
