I have spend 2 hours on the phone with the top Verizon people trying to figure out why my new Galaxy s5 will not communicate with my two .com accounts. I have done exactly what what told by my ISP and Samsung and Verizon but the s5 will not receive new emails. I can send emails but it will not retrieve any email from any of the 3 accounts I have set up. I have tried POP3 and IMAP. The ports are right and as I go through the set-up process there are no error messages so everything seems fine. Just doesn't work. Anyone out there have any ideas? Worked find with my old Droid.

@racer439
I'm sorry to hear of the problems you're experiencing with your email accounts on your Samsung Galaxy S 5! I would love to assist you with finding a resolution.
So that I may further assist, I need some additional information. What type of email accounts are we having problems with, POP3, IMAP or Exchange accounts? Do you have any other personal POP email accounts on your device? If so, are you able to send and receive email with these accounts? Please let me know so that I can further assist. Thanks!

Hi Anthony,
Thank you for your response. I will respond to your questions below:
1. What type of email accounts are we having problems with, POP3, IMAP or Exchange accounts?
I am having problems with POP3 and IMAP. They both will set-up properly when I enter them per the specification on the phone. The problem is that the phone is not seeing the emails that are on the server. In other words, it will not download the emails on the server. I can send from the phone but not receive.
The email accounts I am trying to access are on 2 different domain names: www.ccrco.com and www.horrocksgenealogy.com. The ISP is a company named LPH Internet Services.
I do have a Gmail account that works just fine.
2. Do you have any other personal POP email accounts on your device?
No, just the Gmail account.
These accounts are set up in the “Other” accounts when you go to the Email app. I tried the Corporate app but it did not work.
What is very strange is that when I had my Droid I had no problem at all sending and receiving emails. I did it as an IMAP account.
Any ideas you might have would be greatly appreciated because my frustration level is very high right now.
I am not in my office and will not be able to respond to any suggestions you might have for a couple of more hours.
Thank heaven for GoToMyPC so I can get my emails.
Thanks again,
Hal

Can you double check what syncing frequency these accounts are set? Go to Apps>Email>Menu (icon)>Settings>Manage Accounts> (tap the email you are working with)>Sync Settings>Sync Schedule. Please keep us posted!

Pop and smtp accounts need to by “mail” instead of POP and SMTP, per my ISP

That makes no sense.
Your settings are:
Incoming:
Pop.your ISP .com (net or org)
Out Going Settings:
SMTP.your ISP.com (net or org)
Now some ISP settings are pop3, or mail-server for the incoming mail server. Go to your internet service providers web help site for the proper settings.
Good Luck
