Galaxy s6 edge taking up tons of bandwidth and data?

I just got this phone and suddenly the wifi at my house is incredibly slow, but only when my phone is connected to the wifi. I tried restricting data with certain apps, turning off auto-update, etc. Nothing is working. It's also eating up battery. Why is it taking up SO much data and bandwidth?

We certainly want your new phone to work flawlessly and hearing that you are having some trouble is definitely concerning. We will work together to get this phone in tip top shape and working the way that it should. When you are connecitng to WiFi do you notice that it tends to get really warm or that the battery drains quicker? Are there any apps that you use for streaming any videos or music at all during your use?
